| Stratton Mountain is the quintessential skiing and riding experience in southern
Vermont. Enjoyable almost anytime, it's a delight mid-week.

In one package Stratton offers an enjoyable mountain, reliable snow, an
outstanding lift system, loads of amenities and an enjoyable ambience.
LetÆs start with the mountain. No one would ever put Stratton at the top of
any list for super-challenging terrain. ThatÆs part of what makes it great. For
the way most people ski and ride Stratton has exactly what they want.
Do you want wide open, perfectly groomed trails with consistent pitch?
Stratton has many. Gentle beginner slopes with no high-speed traffic to dodge?
Some great ones. Easy trails winding through quiet woods? Plenty of those, too.
Steep (but not scary-steep) and bumpy? Well-maintained glades? Lots of those at
Stratton. Killer terrain parks? Stratton practically invented the concept. Your
kids will love Stratton.

Don't try this at home kids. A freestyle skier at an exhibition

In other words, unless you are seriously hard core, youÆre going to find
plenty of terrain to play on.
Stratton covers almost all that terrain with snow. Lots of it. And they know
how to groom it. IÆve said it often and IÆll stand by it: Whatever the weather,
the snow at Stratton will be as good as the snow can possibly be.
And to get you to all that snow, Stratton has a totally over-the-top lift
system.: A 12-passenger Gondola, four high-speed detachable 6-packs, four
standard quads, a triple, a double, a couple of surface lifts and three magic
carpets. Pay particular attention to those four quads. On busy days, when the
ôglamö lifts can have a line, those quads are a quiet haven servicing great
terrain.
Once youÆve turned into the access road, the folks at Stratton clearly want
to keep you there until you have to leave. The bustling base village has shops,
pubs, and a myriad of restaurants. ThereÆs a good health club, snowshoeing and
cross-country skiing.
And finally, thereÆs ambience. Because Stratton attracts most of its
customers from New York City and its affluent suburbs, youÆd think that some
big-city attitude and pushiness might spill over onto its slopes. Just isnÆt so.
Even on a busy weekend, itÆs clear that the folks at Stratton are there to relax
and have fun.
To see the absolute best of Stratton, though, try to get there mid-week.
Things are quiet and you can remember that youÆre on a wonderful mountain with
lots of well-groomed snow in that state of mind called ôVermont." |
